Sam was just a week away from his 21st birthday. On September 12th Sam was driving home from college, he was only 6 miles from home when he looked down to send a text. He would never look back up to see that he was in the wrong lane, he never saw the semi truck. Sam had his whole future ahead of him, he was a junior at Lewis Clark State College. He was excited about changing his degree to criminology and had expressed desire in coaching little guys football. Sam left behind family and friends who’s life will never be the same.

Nothing is worth your life. It can wait! Please don’t text and drive.

Inland Cellular, in collaboration with “2Stay Alive 4 Me,” is hosting a “Don’t Text & Drive” campaign to promote responsible, non-distracted driving.

Distracted driving is a factor in 30% of fatal collisions. Talking on a cell phone while driving increases your crash risk by four times. If texting, the risk goes up 23 times. A recent University of Washington survey showed that nearly 1 out of 10 Washington drivers use a cell phone while driving.

Our mission is to raise awareness about distracted driving in order to reduce/stop it. We encourage you to share/forward/like this campaign to spread the word and make the pledge that you will not text and drive.
