The Latest News from Inland Cellular

Uh-Oh my phone is gone! What do I do now?!

1. Review your last steps where did you leave your phone?

2. Call Inland Cellular and get your phone turned off so that no one can use it. When we do shut your phone off that means that no one can use it for Text messaging or Calling, however they can still access all of your apps and Wi-Fi from your phone.

What can you do to prevent theft or losing your phone?

First thing I would suggest is making sure that you have Handset Protection from Inland Cellular. It is $4.99 a month for a non smart phone and $7.99 a month for a smart phone. If you have Handset Protection and you lose your phone it is a $50 replacement fee for a non smart phone, and $85 for a smart phone. You are allowed 2 claims every year.

Secondly, purchase SecureIT mobile from Inland Cellular. I recommend the Mobile Suite Professional Edition it is $100 per year and covers 3 devices including tablets. Included in that price is Unlimited Live Support, 10GB of cloud storage for things like photos, files, contacts, call, and text history. SecureIT also allows Anti Theft location, and remote wiping of your lost device. So if your phone is lost you can locate it using a web portal, or wipe the device out completely if it is lost. (There are more packages available for SecureIT mobile, contact your nearest Inland Cellular store for more packages.)

Common Misconceptions of losing your phone:

We can not locate your device for you, or remotely wipe it. I’m sorry I wish I could locate it for you but I can not and neither can Inland Cellular. We can put a red flag on your devices serial number in case some one steals your phone and tries to activate it through Inland Cellular.

To wrap it all up what do you do when your phone is lost? Retrace your steps, make sure you have handset protection through Inland Cellular BEFORE you lose your phone, Purchase SecureIT mobile through Inland Cellular BEFORE you lose your phone. Hopefully this never happens to you, but I’ll be glad to help you before any of this happens.

Yes, just come into your nearest Inland location with the new device you’d like to use and we can verify that it’s compatible with our network and get you switched over.
