OUR BEGINNING
Inland began providing cellular service in 1989 with Harold Weis and the Weis family growing from a telephone & security company to a cellular provider. “Always keep growing,” Harold would say. The Weis family and Inland Telephone & Security were doing good business in some great towns, but Harold was looking into the future. And the future as he saw it, was Cellular.
In 1989, Harold partnered up with Saint John Co-op and Pioneer Telephone, and things really began to take off. Inland Cellular began to buy and lease land for cellular towers all over Eastern Washington and into the panhandle of Idaho. Even though Harold is gone now, his legacy of forward-thinking lives on.

Over the years technology has continually changed the way we communicate. The once-remote communities in the Inland Northwest are now part of the global economy.

Giving back to our communities is the heart of living Inland. On average, we donate 2,798 hours of volunteer time back to the communities that we serve. We are proud of our communities and the staff members who serve as friends, mentors, coaches, parents, and volunteers. On average, we donate $208,000 back to our communities yearly. To name all of the organizations we partner with would take up too many pages. We believe in supporting local organizations, especially those whose individuals work for and with Inland Cellular. We will do our best to help support as many locally-minded organizations as possible, whether through our time, our talents, a donation, or a financial gift.
