SIM upgrade allows customers to utilize network service enhancements
You may have received a text telling you that you are eligible for a free SIM upgrade to utilize upcoming service enhancements. Your SIM card is an integrated circuit that stores your mobile phone’s identification information so you can utilize the cellular network. In order to utilize the newest technology available, some customers need to come to their nearest Inland Cellular store and get a new SIM.
In the coming months, customers will begin utilizing VoLTE services and by getting your new SIM today your device will seamlessly transition to this technology as soon as it’s available. VoLTE (Voice over LTE) allows your calls to be placed over an LTE connection instead of the older legacy voice networks (1x). This will allow for better call quality when both parties are utilizing VoLTE. By utilizing LTE services for calling you will get expanded coverage in areas that currently only have data coverage. This upgrade will also provide better options for connectivity when Inland customers are outside of our home network.
Stop by your nearest Inland Cellular store, and our reps will replace your SIM card. The process is simple, easy, and free.
If you didn’t receive a text, don’t worry, there is no need to come in, your SIM is already up to date.
