Installation Technician

Emerge Technologies Powered by Inland Cellular is an internet service provider offering connectivity to many communities throughout the Northwest. We are looking for an internet installation technician to join our team as we expand our internet service offerings, including wireless and direct fiber connectivity.

We are customer-oriented and committed to providing an excellent customer experience. As an installation technician, you will install network equipment in business or residential buildings and provide face-to-face support to customers.

Our Installation Technicians will assist customers in finding the best location in their residence/business to place network equipment and provide a walkthrough of how to use their equipment and what to expect from their chosen internet service. We are committed to quality installation standards and providing customer assistance throughout the installation process.

Responsibilities:

  • Interfaces with customers to negotiate the placement of equipment, assist with web access, and train the customer on how to use the new equipment
  • Install fiber or wireless network equipment in customers' home/or business
  • Review home/business layout to determine job specifications and installation needs, including going into attics, crawlspaces, wall fishing, and climbing ladders to run the necessary cabling
  • Ensures the customer is satisfied with the work that has been done
  • Responds to inquiries and provide follow-up to customers
  • Perform other related duties as required and assigned

 

Qualifications

  • Conducting and dressing as a professional service provider
  • High School diploma
  • Attendance commitment is a must. Our customers are taking time out of their day for us to connect them to the world.
  • Great driving record and a valid driving license are required.
  • The ability to learn the installation of business and residential buildings
  • The aptitude and ability to problem solve when working in the field.
  • Able to communicate clearly and effectively with customers. Able to present options and solutions that best fit their needs.
  • We strive to be there for our customers, which requires overtime and call-outs occasionally.
  • Working in small confined spaces, working with and on ladders, working in all weather conditions
  • The ability to operate a bucket truck or learn to operate a bucket truck.

 

Must be able to pass DOT physical to operate a bucket truck

 

 

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $17.00 - $22.00 per hour

 

Benefits:

  • 40 Hours of Sick Leave Annually 
  • PTO: (semi-monthly payroll)

Years 1-3, 4 hours per pay period

Years 4-10, 5.33 per pay period

Years 11 or more 6.67 per pay period
